Trapps Hamlet Interpretive Path (Audio Tour)

Once home to the huckleberry-pickers and stone-cutters of the past century, this mountaintop community housed as many as 40-50 families by the time of the Civil War and is now listed on both the New York State and National Register of Historic Places. This excerpt describes the Eli Van Leuven Cabin (pictured below) and is part of a complete series available as a free download at the Mohonk Preserve website. I did all the field recording and sound editing for each of the 12 stops along the path.
