COMM 331: Program Processes in Television

I taught the production lab of this course for two semesters. Assignments included single-camera field production, post-production, and multiple-camera, live studio programming. The course also included peer review sessions, rough cut critiques, and a workshop on narrative archetypes in Hollywood cinema. Go here to view a sample student project.

This video was shot on the last day of class. I asked the students to record a "time capsule" of their career aspirations that I would view in 20 years. I then invited them to imagine that those twenty years had passed and now they were accepting an award for their achievements. It was touching to see these young people connect their dreams with gratitude.
